Abstract

Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kinerja pegawai ditinjau dari beban kerja dan karakteristik pekerjaan dengan work-life balance sebagai variabel moderasi.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian adalah explanatory research. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh tenaga kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan di Kabupaten Buleleng yang berjumlah 110 orang. Untuk mengukur besaran sampel yang akan diteliti peneliti mengggunakan rumus slovin, yaitu sebesar 87 orang. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah probability sampling dengan teknik yang diambil yaitu proportionate stratified random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) dengan menggunakan software smartPLS versi 4.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beban kerja yang semakin baik mampu mendorong penurunan kinerja pegawai. Karakteristik pekerjaan yang semakin baik mampu mendorong peningkatan kinerja pegawai. Meskipun work-life balance ke arah positif yang semakin baik ternyata tidak mampu mendorong peningkatan kinerja pegawai. Work-life balance mampu berperan dalam memoderasi secara kuat dan murni atas pengaruh beban kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Work-life balance mampu berperan dalam memoderasi secara kuat dan murni atas pengaruh karakteristik pekerjaan terhadap kinerja pegawai.
