Abstract

The development of tourism villages requires government support and active community participation to ensure that the development process can be carried out sustainably. This study aims to analyze the effects of government support and community participation on the success of tourism village development in Deworejo Tourism Village, Sragen Regency, Central Java. This study employed a quantitative approach involving 85 respondents. The research data were analyzed using validity testing, reliability testing, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that all 45 statement items measuring government support, community participation, and the success of tourism village development were declared valid. The three variables also demonstrated high levels of reliability, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.9716 for government support, 0.9701 for community participation, and 0.9783 for the success of tourism village development, respectively. The regression analysis produced the equation Y = 0.7641 + 0.5525X1 + 0.4287X2. Government support had a positive and significant relationship with the success of tourism village development, with a coefficient of 0.5525, a t-value of 6.1594, and p < 0.001. Community participation also had a positive and significant relationship, with a coefficient of 0.4287, a t-value of 4.6632, and p < 0.001. Simultaneously, government support and community participation were significantly associated with the success of tourism village development, as indicated by an F-value of 149.747 with a significance level of < 0.001. The R-squared value of 0.7851 indicates that the two independent variables in the model explain 78.51% of the variation in the success of tourism village development, while the remaining 21.49% is associated with other factors outside the model. The findings highlight the importance of synergy between government support and community participation in supporting the successful development of Deworejo Tourism Village.
