EFEK KOMBINASI HABBATUSSAUDA (Nigella Sativa) DAN AMPISILIN TERHADAP BAKTERI Escherichia coli

Resistensi bakteri Escherichia coli terhadap antibiotik Ampisilin terus meningkat. Habbatussauda (Nigella sativa) dapat menghambat Escherichia coli. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mempelajari efek kombinasi Habbatussauda dan Ampisilin terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan metode disc diffusion, dengan rancangan penelitianpost test only control group design, yang dibagi dalam 8 kelompok, yaitu 6 kelompok perlakuan dan 2 kelompok kontrol. Kelompok perlakuan terdiri atas kelompok 1 diberi kombinasi Hababtussauda konsentrasi 2 % dan Ampisilin 10 µg, kelompok 2 diberi kombinasi Hababtussauda konsentrasi 2,5 % dan Ampisilin 10 µg, kelompok 3 diberi kombinasi Hababtussauda konsentrasi 3 % dan Ampisilin 10 µg, kelompok 4 diberi kombinasi Hababtussauda konsentrasi 3,5 % dan Ampisilin 10 µg, kelompok 5 diberi Hababtussauda konsentrasi 100 %, kelompok 6 diberi Ampisilin 10 µg. Data berupa zona hambat semua kelompok perlakuan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik yaitu uji One-Way ANOVA, dilanjutkan dengan uji post hoc. Penelitian ini menemukan kombinasi Habbatussauda dengan Ampisilin dapat menghambat bakteri Escherichia coli, melebihi Ampisilin saja. Namun demikian, daya hambat kombinasi Habbatussauda dengan Ampisilin belum mampu menandingi daya hambat antibiotik Siprofloksasin terhadap Escherichia coli. Oleh karena itu, Habbatusauda berpotensi dapat mencegah resistensi Escherichia coli terhadap antibiotik Ampisilin.
