Abstract

Bangkalaloe Village, Bontoramba Subdistrict, Jeneponto Regency, is predominantly agrarian and is supported by household businesses and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This community service program aimed to improve the ability of MSME actors to apply practical bookkeeping and business financial management. The main problems addressed were unstructured transaction records, the mixing of business and household cash flows, and limited ability to calculate profit or loss objectively. The program used a participatory approach through instructional sessions, focused group discussions, tutorials, hands-on transaction recording, and consultation. The materials covered cash management, transaction recording, preparation of simple financial information, financial planning, and an introduction to digital marketing and *branding*. Approximately 30 participants attended the activity. The results showed that participants were able to practice recording revenues and expenses, understand the importance of separating business and household finances, and relate transactions to simple profit or loss information. Participants also received bookkeeping templates and an Excel-based tool for use after the training. The evaluation reported in the activity document indicated improvements in financial management understanding, financial reporting skills, cash and cost management, and digital marketing practices. The program provides an initial foundation for establishing more systematic bookkeeping habits and supporting the sustainability of  MSMEs.
