Bekasi City, a buffer city of the national capital, still faces fundamental challenges in primary education, one of which is teachers' limited competence in designing meaningful learning experiences for students amid the demands of 21st-century learning. This Community Service Program, carried out by Team 2 of the Educational Technology Study Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, aims to assist primary school teachers in Bekasi City in understanding and implementing digital storytelling as a method to facilitate deep learning. The activity was held on 17 June 2026 at SDN Kota Baru IX, Bekasi City, using a participatory approach consisting of material delivery, interactive discussion, practice, and mentoring in preparing Lesson Plans (RPP). It was attended by 98 participants in total, with 24 participants specifically involved in one of the mentoring rooms. The material covered the basic concepts and benefits of storytelling, the position of storytelling as a hidden curriculum, eight components that make storytelling meaningful for students, and the deep learning model, which includes the graduate profile dimensions, the principles of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning, the learning experiences of understanding, applying, and reflecting, and the learning ecosystem. As an evaluation, participants were assigned to design deep learning-based lesson plans integrating the storytelling method, which were submitted to the team's official email. During the activity, participants actively took part in discussions, asked questions, and shared teaching experiences, and were able to prepare contextual lesson designs using digital media as support. The mentoring results show that digital storytelling can be an effective and applicable strategy for fostering a mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning culture, as well as a way of strengthening the pedagogical competence of primary school teachers in facing the challenges of learning in the digital era.
